The spring 2014 meeting of Michiana Anabaptist Historians will be hosted by Shore Mennonite Church, rural Shipshewana, beginning with coffee at 8:30 and program at 9 a.m.

In the first session, Steven Nolt of Goshen College will speak on “The Amish Fifty Years Later,” based on his new book The Amish, written in collaboration with Donald B. Kraybill and Karen M. Johnson-Wiener. Their comprehensive study appeared fifty years after the first edition of Amish Society by John A. Hostetler.

In the second session, beginning at 11 a.m., Rebecca Haarer of Shipshewana will speak on “The History of Amish and Mennonite Quilt-Making in Northern Indiana,” illustrated with representative quilts. The public is invited.
